Another 606 sellout

The Philip Dodd Quartet was back at Chelsea's wonderful 606 Club in March - the fifth year in a row - and another sell-out. For some magical, alchemical reason this was one of the best of the lot according to wise heads in the audience, whose enthusiasm and support were an invaluable part of the evening. A couple of favourite lines from the comments back: "My first experience of the Philip Dodd Quartet. Sublime! Congratulations to all for uplifting the soul." "Stay loose. And tight. How do you do that?" Every year the tickets carry a jazz quote. This year it came from Miles Davis: "I'll play it first and tell you what it is later"...
